Lose Yourself In The Eternal Beauty At The Garden Of Five Senses!
We were entirely mesmerized by the antiquity of the Qutb Complex monuments and were really enjoying the day. But the fun on the list had not ended by then. We decided to head to ‘The Garden of Five senses’ near Mehrauli after having visited and admired all the monuments in the Qutb Complex.
By the time we were in the garden, it was evening and practically the most awesome time for visiting such a place because at these hours we had ditched the scorching summer sun but still had some daylight left for enjoying the scenic beauty of the place.
Garden of Five Senses has been conceptualized and constructed by Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation as a destination with some natural fervor as well as the pristine look of a theme park. The theme of the park is to stimulate all the five human senses through scheduled sceneries and scriptures. Located in Said-Ul-Azaib village near Mehrauli heritage area, this garden packs exquisitely detailed architectural brilliance, complementing artistic demeanor. This place is a decade old and is spread in an estimated area of about 20 acres.
Khas bagh is a series of gardens in the park developed on the lines of the iconic Mughal gardens and are a treat to watch. The nature’s walk is the prime attraction of the park with natural stimulus like freshly bloomed flowers in the vicinity which act as a positive stimulus to the senses through the scenic beauty, fragrance and delicacy.
There are more than 200 varieties of plants roped into the park which takes it higher on the flora front. Other than breathtaking floral variance, the park has some really nice stonework as well. The latest major attraction to be added to the stonework is the replica of Mexican Mayan Lebna Arc.
After a wonderful visit to the park, we decided to walk to the local evening bazaars and shopped for some mementos. Later we moved back to our resort and retired to our rooms expecting another action packed day later on the trip.
