NTR Gardens – A Must Visit Place

We had our lunch in a restaurant, and moved to our last destination, the NTR gardens of Hyderabad. NTR Gardens is a relaxing and entertainment centre that is present adjoining to the Hussain Sagar Lake. It houses a Memorial of Late Shri N.T. Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister, and is named after him.

We reached there much after the opening time i.e. 2:30 pm, and bought the entry tickets. On entering the small urban park, we were glad to gain the peaceful respite from the busy traffic and running life of the growing metropolitan city – Hyderabad.

The gardens were very beautifully maintained and were blooming with colorful flowers, well managed shrubs and trimmed trees. Within the gardens was installed an amazing cascading waterfall, which was attracting a large number of tourists to itself. Visitors, who were both-locals and tourists, were availing the services of the visitor’s train and the souvenir shops. People, who were hankering for food, were visiting the restaurants present within the premises.

This park is managed by the Buddha Purnima Project Authorities and it is said that the total expenditure sustained by the government to bring up the park in its present status, was 40 crores. That is a huge amount…isn’t it?

To ensure adequate ease and entertainment to its visitors, there are placed several attractions like cafes, souvenir shops to enjoy shopping, beautiful Shiromani Garden, a cascading waterfall, bowling alley to have fun by grownups and many electronic games for kids. We all enjoyed these leisure activities of the park, eateries and the topography of the region.

There was also a mono rail system available in park that was taking children around the sprawling Garden. It’s an awesome amusement park with a huge difference…do see it to believe it!

We roamed a lot through the park, relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature spread around us. We also took a number of photographs of the flowers, and we all posing in front of them. That was an excellent way to conclude our trip at Hyderabad. We will surely cherish the beautiful sites and the amazing moments spent here.
